It's hard to believe but we're almost through the month of April and Mother's Day is just around the corner. This year I'll be hosting brunch for my mother and mother-in-law and I've been looking for a good fruity cocktail to make that I think both will enjoy. Well, I found it and I'm excited to share the recipe with all of you.
This recipe and photo is courtesy of the great folks at Santa Margherita. You can visit their site to learn more about the company, their wines and to grab additional cocktail recipes.
Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade Cocktail Recipe

1/8 Cup Sugar
1/8 Cup Lemon Sugar
1/2 Tablespoon Lemon Rind, Grated
1 Cup Mashed Raspberries
Combine sugar and juice in a small saucepan, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Stir in lemon rind and ½ cup of mashed raspberries. Combine mixture and Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore in pitcher. Sprinkle remaining raspberries among the glasses.

I enjoy any drink with berries and lemon in it. You wrote lemon sugar instead of lemon juice in the recipe posted. This sounds like a cocktail I would love to drink.
